Happy Halloween!
So the question is who will eat more of this Halloween candy, me or the 2 kids that actually come to the door this year?
(hint: the answer rhymes with Rah-nay)
Bonus question: Do you know who my niece Jordi is dressing up as for Halloween this year?
(hint: she is very unique and you might find her in the back yard)
Here Caroline is shown in half-costume. I can't wait to get pics of the full look.

So I decided to do a little cross training yesterday and did the Incline. It's a staple for all COS athletes and fitness enthusiasts. It's a 1 mile trail made from an old rail road bed and it gains 2,000 feet in just 1 mile and average grade on the trail is 41%. You'll always see a bunch of people out there eventhough it's a closed trail and on private property.
Although I try to hike and do other stuff to relax and get away from the rigors of competition, inevitably my competitive side always comes out and I feel driven to pass every person on the trail within my sights. It's kind of like a time trial, you have a good day if you don't get passed by anyone and then by number of people you pass. So I'm sure I don't even have to tell you I had to chase this last group down too.
And the view from the top. Of course, my competitive side came out a little on the downhill too. I told myself that I should walk down the other side of the trail to save my legs. But after about 5 minutes I decided it was too damn slow, so I ran down. Of course, today my legs are completely shredded, and now I feel as if someone spent last night rubbing shards of glass in to my quads. So much for gentle acclimation in to new sports in the off-season.

Blizzard 2006 update. One of the best things about the snow in Colorado is that it doesn't stick around long.
10 inches in the back yard yesterday are just about melted now.
In other news, have you ever seen a mancoon or Maine coone as they are also known? The Maine Coone is most commonly found in Maine, hence the name, and it is also the official Maine State Cat. The legend of the Maine Coone is that it was a cross breed between a semi-wild cat and a racoon.
There was one roaming the house yesterday.
Actually Sally and Clay brought Coco, their new mancoon, with them when they came over for a visit yesterday.

12 pm, it's not really snowing hard anymore. But the panic in the streets of Colorado Springs has closed everything from schools and offices and even the gym where I lift. So I had to do something today that I haven't done in about 22 months, I went running. It was like Rocky IV running through the snow except I wasn't dragging a log behind me.
Look for the progress report on how sore my legs are.

Happy Birthday Greg.
seems as if someone else had a big birthday this week.
We all went to Sontero to celebrate the big day. Sarah then gave him a little serenade.
It must have gotten Greg all choked up because you can see him wiping away a little tear. Actually, it was hilarious. Who knew Sarah could sing so well. It was awesome.
Mike and Mike are so close now apparently they are now dressing a like too. I think the matching outfits are a little more alarming than the big kiss Creed planted on Mike.

Who has the best rooster mullet, Colin's little girl Tea' ?
Or coach Bill? I'm going with Bill, because, after all, he is from Florida.
What do coaches do after camp to blow off some steam?
Why wiffle ball of course!
and maybe milk shakes.
But I'm not really sure what it is that Bill does when he's trying to unwind.

CTS Asheville. I'm doing a camp this week with our new CTS facility in Asheville, NC.
It's really pretty here in Asheville,
Real purty...
really it is.
CTS staff metting in the minivan because we were temporarily shut out of the office.
Staff meeting continued. I swear it was all business here.
Me and some tall guys...
Night life in Asheville. There were lots of hippies banging drums, it was real cool because I like the night life, I like to boogie.

The birthday that never ends...
The birthday celebrations continued last night with birthday cake and wine. It's a new combination, and I'd have to say, it's not quite as good as cake and beer. Caroline (below) is eager in anticipation of getting some cake. Caroline loves cake (see last month's picture of cake coma).
Blow out the candles! Notice there are only 4 candles.... well maybe that's 4x10. So if 40 is the new 30, does that make me like the new 25?
mmmm, cake is delicious!
And if you don't want wine with your cake, milk is an ok substitute.
Goodbye family, I've got head out to Asheville for work today. (By the way, this picture was taken by a 3 year old, which makes me ask, if Jordi can figure out the digital camera then why can't Grandma Henri?)

From the desk of Jordi Pullem
What should I blog about today? Aunt Renee is taking a vacation from blogging, so she asked me to write the update today. I'm only 3, but I am VERY smart, so I already know how to use a computer.
We went to the park today and I went down the slide. This one has bumps on it and it makes your bum feel funny.
My litter sister Caroline went on the teeter todder.
And then she did some dancing. Caroline likes to dance.
Caroline also likes to eat rocks.
Here I am modeling my new Kate Spade bag... I mean mommy's new Kate Spade bag. She got it for her birthday from Aunt Donna. Aunt Donna is SO fancy.
Mommy got this sweatshirt for her birthday too. It's from a place called New Hampshire, mommy lived there when she used to be little like me. I think it looks like a volcano. Aunt Renee gave mommy this for her birthday, Aunt Renee is NOT as fancy as Aunt Donna.
