Since it was snowy and cold today, I went out to do the Incline. It was so nice, I decided to do it twice.
You can see the difference in weather just from a couple days ago when Kate did it. click here.
Parts of it are pretty steep. It gains 2,000 feet in just a mile.

I normally don't enjoy snow and cold, but it was real pretty out there today.

Up at the top is was like a winter wonderland. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

I went up to have Thanksgiving with the Tarkingtons again this year. It was really nice for them to invite me up again.

We had a great time. The food was really good too and included an assortment of cranberry dishes.

Beth was partial to the Cool Whip dish sans pie underneath it.

One thing is for sure, Sam doesn't need any more pie.

So I've been tagged again. I was tagged before and I'm not sure if I have to redo my tag, but here's what blog tagging is; list 6 random things about yourself that most people do not know, then tag 6 more people and post their links. Since this is a slow blog day, here I go again. I will try to add new factiods (I can't really remember what I wrote last time)...

1. I am still afraid of things under the bed. I am quite sure they are in the form of evil gnomes with axes ready to chop off my toes. That is why I jump in to bed from at least 3 feet away.
2. I still enjoy making mix tapes, except in this day and age it is mix CDs or sharing iPod playlists.
3. I have plates and screws holding part of my spine together.
4. When I was 11, I had a dog and named him O.J. after O.J. Simpson, my favorite football player (when I was 11).
5. I rushed sororities when I was a freshman in college.
6. In total, I attended 4 different colleges as an undergrad and it took me 5 and 1/2 years to graduate. I think that makes me only marginally better than Sarah Palin.

So I will also try to tag some new people.

Holy crap! That didn't take long. Only 30 minutes in to the sidewalk giveaway and a couple comes by and take the whole kit and kaboodle. Books, TV stand and all. I don't know whether to be excited or dissapointed. I was hoping I'd have some all day entertainment.
Kenny, this one is for you.
Here it is, back by popular demand (well at least one person's demand...) another sidewalk giveaway. This time a bunch of old books that were given to me and an old TV stand. The question is will people just take the books or the TV stand too?

Today I rode my bike half-way to Denver. I was riding with Joanne who was riding all the way to Denver so she could get to the Broncos game. I am unsure if that makes her a dedicated fan or a dedicated athlete. (It is probably the latter since she went to the Olympics in August.)

Now that I am fully blown after my 4 hour ride I will relax and watch the game the rest of the afternoon. That is unless the Broncos start stressing me out by playing bad, in which case, I will take a nap.

Today there was a cross race in the Springs and it was fun to watch the women's race because Kelli Emmett and Super Mom Lisa Strong duked it out all race. In the end, Lisa pulled off the win and the whole team is super psyched that our climber is back to her winning ways!

Sarah was out there too and I heard she had a spectacular crash.

The crowds were out in full force for the women's race, but soon dissapeared once the men started.

Why yes kitty, it is cold out. Little Pest is huddled by the heat vent this morning because the bottom has finally fallen out. Our 'summer in November' is over. It's been in the 70s the past 4 days, and today it's about 25 degrees. I knew it was too good to last, but I enjoyed it while it did.

It's been a while since I've done a Retro CD of the Day. So here you go, The Pixies Bossanova. 1990 was a good year, and also when I graduated high school. Wow, that was a long time ago!

I knew this day would come when the coolest gadget I ever owned would become passe'.

Move over Blackberry Curve, the Storm is rolling in to town. The marketing is clearly effective because today I realized I can not live without the functionality of the new Blackberry.... must have new Blackberry.

Son of a bitch! Will you look at what I just did! I just was getting back from a nice lunch with Kate's mom and came in to the parking spot a little hot and tagged the wall. Dammit, those new eye glasses aren't doing much for my depth perception.

Today it was real nice out. I mean 72 in the middle of November, I'll take it. I also took advantage of the day and did my first 4 hour ride in a loooong time.

While I was out there on that lonely road....I started with the group ride, but took off on my own because who needs to ride that hard in Nov?!... back to my point, while I was out there I realized I am out of shape. (As much as round is a shape, it is not a good shape for bike racing.) So I'm out of shape, my back was huting, my arms were hurting, I knew I wouldn't be out there if it was 40 degrees out today, and was happy to ride alone so I didn't have to ride hard with all the youngin's. It was then that I realized the only thing that keeps me from calling myself a fattie masters is denial.

I don't know how you can screw up tomoato soup, but this stuff is gross. It tastes like feet. Now what am I going to have for lunch?

Last night we went out to Jose Muldooon's to celebrate a friend's liberation from working for the 'man'.

Jane showed off her artist skills by diagraming the origin of 'apple bottom jeans'.

Completed art work with muffin top, tramp stamp, and 'boots with the fur'.

Last night we had Thanksgiving a little early at the SRM house. Stephanie's mom and dad drove out from Kentucky and cooked us up a fantastic meal. A fine time was had by all.

There was more cross in Boulder on Sunday. Big crowds came out to watch, it was a lot of fun.

Because I stayed up in Boulder to watch the races, I got to hang out with the Farkingtons and young Sam. Here I am explaining the finer points of television news watching and why CNN is so much better than Fox News for his election coverage.
Beth, as usual multitasking at the cross race.

We got together for our first team ride getting ready for next year.

Before the ride started, Jenna and Carol thought it'd be funny to leave finger prints on Beth's stainless steel fridge.... she was not amused, seriously folks, don't leave prints on the fridge.

On the '09 team we'll have Beth back, Carol, Jenna, Maegan, and me. Not pictured are SyRae and Lisa. SyRae was busy sleeping.

And Lisa was busy kicking ass in the cross race. Way to go Lisa! It's hard to believe she had a baby 7 months ago.

At the cross race, I was suprised to find out that I am wearing all the latest baby fashions. Lucy by the way is getting real cute, and real solid. That little girl is a tank.
