So I've been working with the Front Rangers junior club on the track. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we have 10-15 juniors out on the track.
We work on a lot of basic skills like don't stop pedaling, turn left, and don't crash. Actually, most of them are pretty good bike handlers, and pretty fast too.
Today we worked on standing starts and team pursuit drills. Junior nationals are here in town in just a few weeks and I think a lot of these kids are going to give it a go. We'll definitely see a lot of these kids out on Thursday nights for our regular racing, so that'll be a lot of fun.
It's a blast working with these energetic kids. Plus I'm taller than a few of them (only the 11 year olds), so that's really the best part.
